About importing from the web

SlowBird's link box brings a recording into your library from a link. A direct link to an audio or video file downloads as it is. A web page imports through yt-dlp, a free tool the app offers to fetch the first time you need it; it lives in SlowBird's own folder and you can remove it at any time. Streaming services can't be downloaded, so those links open in your browser while SlowBird records what plays.

Everything you import stays on your computer. Only import material you're entitled to use: your own recordings, purchases, lessons you've been given, and material that is free to copy.
